This week Freja and Fredrik had to stay home, because Freja had bronchitis…again.

 

She had it for over a month before Christmas but got completely well during the holiday. Then she got it again after a couple of weeks in kindergarten. She had it a couple of times before. It seems she is very sensitive for it.

 

But now she is feeling better and next week it’s back to kindergarten. : )

 

Freja wasn’t interested in jigsaw puzzles before but she got some new ones for Christmas and suddenly she wants to play with them all the time. She can even do them by her self, which makes her very proud. : )

 

 

When we came home from South Korea Freja spoke a mix of English, Swedish and Korean. When she started in the Swedish kindergarten she focused more and more on Swedish. After about 2 months she spoke only Swedish and was making longer and longer sentences.

 

She still understood English. Followed every instruction and answered questions perfectly in Swedish. When she watched a movie or heard a song she could translate from English to Swedish instantly. When we spoke English to her she said: “Du pratar engelska.” (“You speak English.”)

 

A few days ago when I spoke to her in English she said: “I want to speak English.” Then she echoed everything Fredrik said for one hour before she got tiered and started speaking Swedish again. Now she is making longer and longer sentences in English every day.

 

I wonder if she still understands Korean?

 

Often when I come home from work and Freja wants to play with me we play”the sleeping game”. You put pillows and blankets on the floor and pretend to sleep. Freja invented the game one day and I loved it ever since then. ; )

The other day Fredrik called me at work. Before we ended the conversation Freja wanted to speak to me.

- I love you mum!

That made my day even better. I love you to my angel. : )

Freja watched some all pictures today. She got really happy and just wanted to se more and more. Yoon Jin! I love Yoon Jin!

Usually on weekend mornings the whole family snuggle up in our big bed. Freja calls for me when she wakes up and I go to her room to get her. Then we spend about 30 minutes in our bed.

We have been encouraging her to go to our bed by her self and this Sunday she did for the first time. I heard her call once then she got quiet, suddenly the door opened and a very proud Freja stepped in. : )

 

 

I learned that if you give a 2 year old dark blue overalls and send her to kindergarten you will get gray overalls, covered with sand and dirt…next time I will buy gray overalls from the beginning. ; )

 

Freja got tired of all our cleaning, painting and organization. She took out about half of her toys and then she lay down to rest for a while in her own private chaos. : )

 

 

Last week Freja was very tired one morning. To cheer her up I started talking about kindergarten.

 

 

- Who do think will meet you at kindergarten this morning?

- Eva!

- Is Eva your favourite teacher?

 

Freja looks at me like she doesn’t understand the question.

 

- Maybe you don’t have a favourite teacher?

- Mummy!!

 

 

Apparently I’m Frejas favourite. : D

 

Freja got some new rain boots and new outdoor pants. Now she is fully equipped to meet autumn.

Freja really enjoys going to kindergarten. Every morning this week she woke up with a big smile. She loves her teachers and her new friends. I also noticed that she is getting more independent, for example taking of her shoes and hanging her jacket without me asking her.

 She has also been very happy in the afternoons. Her happiness makes me happy and gives me energy. It has been a very happy week. : )
