Lazy weekend

Tomorrow is the start of another workweek. This weekend I cleaned, spent time with my family and slept. Just what I needed. : )

Oooooops...

My car was supposed to stand next to the other car but I got stuck. I had to get out of the car and shovel the snow away before I could get in to my parking space.

After the latest snowfall we now have about one meter of snow. Riding my bike to work is not an option. : )

Luckily we got a parking space in a garage today. : D

Happy birthday Fredrik

Today is Fredriks birthday. Yesterday friends and family came to celebrate him.

Playing in the snow

I want to speak English

When we came home from South Korea Freja spoke a mix of English, Swedish and Korean. When she started in the Swedish kindergarten she focused more and more on Swedish. After about 2 months she spoke only Swedish and was making longer and longer sentences.

She still understood English. Followed every instruction and answered questions perfectly in Swedish. When she watched a movie or heard a song she could translate from English to Swedish instantly. When we spoke English to her she said: “Du pratar engelska.” (“You speak English.”)

A few days ago when I spoke to her in English she said: “I want to speak English.” Then she echoed everything Fredrik said for one hour before she got tiered and started speaking Swedish again. Now she is making longer and longer sentences in English every day.

I wonder if she still understands Korean?

The sleeping game

Often when I come home from work and Freja wants to play with me we play”the sleeping game”. You put pillows and blankets on the floor and pretend to sleep. Freja invented the game one day and I loved it ever since then. ; )

Just the Two of us

After work today I and Fredrik met in the door. He was going to a friend and I was going to cook dinner and take care of Freja. We had a really good time. Freja was so happy because she spent the day at kindergarten for the first time in several weeks. I made dinner and she did the dishes. Then we watched some “Care Bears” and Freja went to bed. I enjoyed every moment of our evening. : )

Bye, bye, Christmas

Today we cleaned away all our Christmas decorations and ate the gingerbread house, Christmas is officially over.

Back to work

Freja and Fredrik are still sleeping but I’m awake because it’s time to go back to work. It feels strange, I just got used to sleeping in and spending the day with my family.

At least I did a lot of things during my holiday:

  • Finished decorating Freja´s room
  • Ate to much food and candy
  • Started exercising
  • Played with Freja in a indoor playground
  • Let Freja watch too much TV and eat breakfast in the sofa
  • Spent time with family and friends
  • Made “Hello Kitty” in snow
  • Went to the swimming pool with Freja
  • Bought some new clothes on sale
  • Played in the snow with Freja
  • Baked with Freja
  • Got a new coffee machine and an espresso machine
  • Played with Freja at home
  • Redressed a chair for our living room
  • Went to the library
  • Went to a new years party and got a nasty hangover

In other words I had a really good time! : D

New Year resolutions

Take care of myself better, to become healthy, happy and have more energy. I want to have more energy to keep in touch with my friends both in real life and on the internet.
I have already begun by training and eating better. It works. : )

Goals for 2010:

  • Using as little energy as possible at work and save a lot of energy for friends, family and other fun stuff.
  • Find our dream house.
